For over 700 years, the magnificent Grade I listed building located at 8½ Dowgate Hill, in the bustling heart of the Square Mile, has withstood the test of time. 8½ London is home to The Skinners’ Company and its rich history tells a fascinating tale of resilience, rejuvenation and purpose as a much-loved corporate and private events venue.

Originally constructed as a medieval Copped Hall, the building was destroyed in the 1666 Great Fire of London, before being rebuilt and completed in 1677. Over the years, it’s been carefully restored and redeveloped, preserving its ancient monument status, while enhancing its amenities to suit every need for event planners today.

Following another extensive renovation completed in 2024, the fully accessible venue has been adapted to reduce its operational carbon footprint and meet London’s 2040 emission targets.

Stepping inside 8½ London’s ceremonial gates, the heritage, grand architecture and stunning aesthetic characterising every space will immerse your guests in wonder, creating long-lasting memories.

From the Great Hall’s breathtaking grandeur to the secluded sanctuary of the Roof Terrace, centuries of historical significance blend seamlessly with contemporary features, across seven indoor and three outdoor spaces.

Make sure your next event is written into this exciting new chapter of 8½ London’s timeless story.
