The Off To Work Event Photography Awards

We are thrilled to be hosting the Off To Work Event Photography Awards 2019 at No.4 Hamilton Place in May this year.

The awards ceremony
As one of the newest venues to join the prestigious Unique Venues of London consortium, No.4 was selected as the ideal backdrop for this year’s high profile event.

Our dedicated on-site team will provide a warm welcome for guests with drinks and canapés from our seasonal collection.

Event photography
We are in awe of the incredible work of the talented event photographers we partner with. We believe that hiring a professional photographer is well worth the investment, not just to capture the moment, but as an integral part of sharing the experience.

This is true not just from a personal viewpoint but, for corporate events, the right imagery can help to elevate a brand’s position and increase awareness of a brand’s key messages.

The Event Photography Awards
Now in its sixth year, the EPAs is an annual ‘not for profit’ competition that celebrates the work of photographers – which is fundamental to promoting and sustaining the events industry.

Entries for the 2019 competition closed in early March and were primarily submitted by professional event-specialist photographers, in addition to some amateurs.

The judging process
The EPAs are judged by a plethora of event industry luminaries (including managers from Blue Strawberry) and senior journalists. The primary judging process was held at Off To Work’s offices in Moorgate on 20 March, when long lists of around 20-30 shots were whittled down to short lists.

Thereafter winners, runners-up and highly-commended entries are selected remotely through a simple scoring system. The one exception is the Peoples’ Choice Award which is judged by attendees on the night at the awards event.

The winners of the Event Photography Awards 2019 will be announced at No.4 Hamilton Place on 14 May.

What the photographers say…
Having our work recognised and in such a public way is hugely motivating. Most event photographers toil away in the shadows and yet the business itself is filled with talented creative eyes behind our lenses. That the EPAs recognise those talents every year is just brilliant…” Benjamin Arthur, shortlisted for the 2018 Venues Category.
